synopsis

"Broken Embraces" is a Spanish drama by Pedro Almodóvar about a blind writer who reaches the moment in time when he has to heal his wounds from 14 years back. The film stars frequent collaborater Penélope Cruz, Blanca Portillo, and Lluís Homar. The film was nominated for the Golden Palm Award at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival among other awards.
