synopsis

"Brothers" is a 2009 American drama/war film directed by Jim Sheridan based on on Susanne Bier's 2004 Danish film Brødre which takes place in Afghanistan and Denmark. The film stars Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman. In it, a young man comforts his older brother's wife and children after he goes missing in Afghanistan.
