A leading actor of the stage and screen, Aidan Quinn specializes in portraying sensitive, intelligent characters. Born in Chicago, Quinn moved to Dublin, Ireland in his late teens. It was there that he tried to break into the theater scene. He returned to Chicago and acted in a number of productions. His career has spanned over twenty years and includes roles in “Desperately Seeking Susan,” “Avalon,” “The Playboys,” and “Benny and Joon” opposite Mary Stuart Masterson and Johnny Depp. The next year he shared the screen with Brad Pitt in “Legends of the Fall;” and he followed that role with Neil Jordan's “Michael Collins.” A couple of years later he starred as Annette Bening’s husband in the thrilled “In Dreams” and in Wes Craven’s “Music of the Heart.” Most recently, Quinn has focused on independent fare including “Songcatcher,” “Nine Lives,” and most recently “A Shine of Rainbows.”
