Terry Gilliam began his career as a cartoonist and eventually fell in with Monty Python. The only non-British member of the Pythons, Gilliam won over audiences and moved on to become the internationally acclaimed director of such films as "Jabberwocky", "Time Bandits," "Brazil," "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen," "The Fisher King," "Twelve Monkeys," "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," "The Brothers Grimm" and his most recent project “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus,” which marked Heath Ledger’s last performance and starred Christopher Plummer, Lily Cole, Verne Troyer, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law.
